In 1977 my first job after college was as a studio
camera operator for a local production company. This was "back in the
day" when almost all remote and EFP cameras were tied to trucks.
Between 1978 and 1980 I was a freelance soundman for NBC News. In 1981 I formed
a production services company called Westape with a couple of friends. We bought
a bunch of state of the art (at the time) Sony Broadcast
equipment based around the BVP-330 Camera, BVH-500A 1" portable field
recorder, and the BVU-110 3/4' field recorder. Tyler Aerial Camera Systems
selected us to represent their aerial camera platforms. I am "factory
training" on the Tyler Middle Mount II and Nose Mount II.
1985 to present: Director of Photography (video), aerial camera platform/ vehicle camera platform rigging cameraman and lighting cameraman.
